The instructors for the course will be Lola Michelin and Kim Bauer, trained by Kris De Ceulaer, DVM, Ph.D. Dr. De Ceulaer is a veterinarian in Belgium who specializes in osteopathy, acupuncture and Chinese Food Therapy. Additionally she holds a Ph.D in Veterinary anatomy. The course includes an online course with Kris De Ceulaer, DVM and a one-day hands-on practical on September 19th, 2o26 to practice the techniques. Transform your practice by completing our Practitioner Certification in Manual Ligament Therapy for Equines.  During the online portion of this blended learning course, you will learn the Foundation and Science of Manual Ligament Therapy.  This will set  the stage for you to learn specific releases for various regions of the body.  MLT dramatically reduces hypertonicity in the muscles and restores balance and stability of the joints while improving patterns of movement.  Manual Ligament Therapy (MLT) is based on osteopathic techniques developed by Arik Gohl and adapted for animals by Lola Michelin. Combine this online course with the 2-day hands on training for certification. Online: self-paced instruction in anatomy of the joints and ligaments as well as the theory and history of MLT. Day One On-Site: On-site instruction and practice. Day Two On-Site:  More on-site instruction followed by a proficiency practical. The hands-on portion of the training is limited to 8 students for optimal learning. Total Cost: $750US ($250 for the online portion and $500 for the hands-on portion)

The Northwest School of Animal Massage (NWSAM) is excited to have graduate and equine nutrition expert Kristina Gordon teaching this foundational training in equine nutrition. In this online course, you will learn equine evolution, the equine digestive system and microbiome along with the nutritional needs of the horse.  Considerations will include life stages, common disorders and behavior.  This course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the diet and management of the equine.  It may be taken by itself or combined with our Equine Nutrition Foundation Level Practical for a certification in Equine Nutrition.
