Acupressure

NWSAM now offers an outstanding Acupressure Certification course for both Equine and Small Animal taught by some of the industry's foremost practitioners and educators. Our Acupressure certification programs offer the same flexible blended learning opportunity as our massage programs. Students enjoy support from a distance-learning instructor as they complete the online learning and then attend a hands-on training practical to complete certification. You can find a schedule of courses under the Acupressure Courses label in our course catalog.  Acupressure is an exciting modality that can be combined with massage or used alone. Our courses were developed and are taught by a team of individuals that have the highest qualifications in the industry. Kim Bauer is an internationally recognized practitioner and educator who has trained with many of the pioneers in the animal acupressure industry including Dr. Kerry Ridgway, Diana Thompson and Tallgrass Animal Acupressure. Angie Hughes is a human acupuncturist and animal therapist who serves as a professor in the Acupuncture program at the esteemed Bastyr University. Dr. Michael Salewski, TCM practitioner and long-time NWSAM adjunct faculty member provided oversight for the program development and provided much of the information on pain and inflammatory condition management. Together they provide a learning opportunity that cannot be duplicated.
