Acupressure Class Available
NWSAM is excited and proud to announce the launch of our new Acupressure Foundation certification courses. Courses are available for both Equine and Small Animals and follow the same blended learning format as our popular massage courses (combining online learning with hands-on training). The course curriculum were developed by our team of experts Kim Bauer, Angie Hughes and Dr. Michael Salewski DVM. Kim Bauer is a well-known expert and educator in the field of animal acupressure and massage. She trained with Diane Thompson and Dr. Kerry Ridgway and taught for the internationally recognized Tallgrass Animal Acupressure school for many years. Angie Hughes is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a professor of acupuncture at the esteemed Bastyr University. She also practices animal massage and acupressure. Dr. Michael Salewski is Traditional Chinese Medicine veterinarian and chiropractor who is well-known throughout the U.S. for his gentle effective approach to animal health. He is also an author and speaker on the subject and has been on the NWSAM adjunct faculty for many years. The quality and breadth of this program is unequaled and we are very excited to bring it our student body. We are also proud to announce that there will be a select number of scholarships available for the acupressure courses through the Susan Kaetz Memorial Scholarship fund.
